Peeling Hard Boiled Eggs
Hard boiled eggs are good for more than just breakfast! I often use them in salads or just for a snack. One thing I hate, though, is peeling hard boiled eggs. The shells stick and the eggs are hot and I burn my fingers. Now, I remove the pot from the heat and pour off the hot water. Refill the pot with cold water. Then, I take each egg and crack it against the pot in a couple of spots and drop it back into the cold water. I let them sit in the water for a few minutes. Once they are cook enough to handle, I peel them and the shells come off much more easily. Cracking the eggs and then putting them back in the water allows the water to seep between the shell and the egg.
