This is a creamy, delicious and easy ham, cheese and broccoli quiche.
Preheat oven to 425 F. Prepare your pie shell by placing it in its tin on a cookie sheet.
Get large skillet and heat on medium heat on the stove top.
Add olive oil and wait until oil is hot. Then add the chopped ham, broccoli and shallot. Saute for 5 - 10 minutes until veggies have softened a bit. Turn off heat and set aside.
In a large bowl or large measuring cup, add egg, milk, salt and pepper and whisk.
Add the cream cheese, boursin and applewood smoked cheddar and mix.
Combine ham and veggie mixture with the egg mixture and mix well.
Carefully pour mixture into pie shell and place in oven.
Bake for 15 minutes at 425 and then turn down to 325 and continue baking until centre is set. About 40 more minutes.
Once centre is set, remove from oven and let stand for 10 minutes before serving. Add a crisp, green salad and you are set! Makes for great leftovers.
If you want to eliminate the boursin cheese and applewood smoked cheddar, you can substitute with 4 ounces of shredded cheddar.
